We just went by Charlottetown this morning. It took 3 hours driving from Halifax. This is a small town and it doesn't have many activities that we could join. We just walked around downtown and along the river to take few pictures (and to prove that we did come by :)
We did go shopping for gifts and souvenirs. We bought one T-shirt for my sister and one sweater for Mr.Hai's nephew. We also found two unique T-shirts of PEI for my parents-in-law. These T-shirts are dyed by the dust from the dune of PEI which is a red-yellowish ;)
The T-shirts we bought for my sister is so interesting as it will change the colors after being explosed to the Sun. It is cool right, isn't it?
After walking around, hubby took me to the World's best ice-cream place. The ice-cream was made freshly everyday from cow-milk, also the ice cream cones were home-made based on every order.
Next, we headed to Cavendish beach which has one of the must see "sand dune". The following pictures are of the Carvendish beach. Because it was free admission after 6PM, we had to go around to kill time :(
Hubby drove to one small shopping place. At there, hubby was very interesting in shooting game which was set up by a men living in the Carvendish area. It only costs 50 cents for 20 shoots. What a pretty cheap game. I and my hubby were wondering how could that owner survive with this game as there were not too many visitors coming by this small shopping place.
Hubby found hard to drive in night time and he was so stress. I myself couldn't sleep either, I tried to stay with hubby and watch the street for him. Finally, we arrived to Moncton city at 10PM and went to Boston pizza for dinner right away. Wow, this is the first time I tried New York steak with Caesar salad and garlic toasted bread. The price is so good (only $13.99 for 8oz steak) and the food is delicous. Hubby was satisfied with his Royal 8 inches pizza also.
Then, we went to check in hotel. And the receptionist said that we were the last people checking in :), cheese......
We did come by Moncton casino which is newly built and opened in spring this year. We had to agree that Gatineau casino is still the fanciest one among the casinoes we have visited. We played some Blackjack games which has a minimum bet of $5 and $10 only. I won and lost some, and by the time we decided to all-in $20 we had, then we won a Blackjack with the reward $30. Overall we lost $40 but getting free parking. We were still lucky as we saw that a Canadian girl lost a lot of money on Black Jack games. Poor that girl.
Then, it was too late already, we went back to the hotel and prepared in order to check-out early for a trip tomorrow.
