Day 1: Montreal,QC: Mont Royal mountaint - Quebec city,QC: Beauport

We left Ottawa around 9AM (as hubby wanted a breakfast and brought along one bottle of home-made Vietnamese coffee, no wonder why he's getting bigger now).

We didn't get any traffic at all, then we arrived to Montreal earlier than usual. Upon hubby's request, we drove to the Mont Royal mountain to look out the whole Montreal city. And it's worthy: the scenery is so beautiful, and we did enjoy the fresh air and meet the nice street-vendor who offered to take a picture for us.

Next we drove to downtown Montreal to have lunch. Although we are taking vacation now, hubby is still busy with work and has to reply work email whenever he has time. :( sigh~

This restaurant is not good at customer service but they have good noodle soup and hubby finished the big bowl. And we also found the good place for the Mango ice cream.

We left Montreal around 3PM and drove straight to Quebec city. And we spent one night at Beauport which takes 15 min to go to downtown Quebec city. When we just came in the room, we smelt something very funny; and the receptionist explained that was from the chemical powder they used to clean the carpet. Ok, let us see after we are back from dinner :(
We went to Vietnamese restaurant closed to the hotel and ordered a special menu for 2 persons. The first two appetizers were good and we thought we did find a good restaurant also. But we were wrong, the next two main courses were bad and salted. :(, I didn't finish them but hubby ate them all.

The hotel was good and they also offered free continental breakfast (that's why the price is a bit higher compare to the other 3-start hotels).
