Day 4: Halifax, NS: Peggy Cove Lighthouse; fancy 4 stars hotel; beautiful Public garden and nice Nova Scotia casino.

Peggy Cove is the most photographed lighthouse in Nova Scotia. Hubby was complaining about driving (it took a hour to get there from Darthmouth,Halifax). But when we arrived there, hubby changed his mind and turned to be so happy to see the beautiful scenery. And he totally agreed that the drive was worth. There were so many tourists coming by also.

We did take a lot of pictures of the rocks and the lighthouse. We also bought one souvernir which is a ceramic plate on which is printed with the picture of some places must go in Nova Scotia.

After the lighthouse, we came by the memorial place where the Swiss flight 111 dropped down and led to 239 death. It was a very peaceful and nice place to look down the beach and recall the accident.

Then, we drove back to Darthmouth for lunch. We went to the only Vietnamese restaurant in Darthmouth (according to GPS). It was the worst Vietnamese restaurant we've ever come. The meats weren't cooked well and the head of the bean sprout turned to greenish already (which implied that the bean sprout was mould). I and hubby tried to take out some mould bean sprouts but we had to give up and couldn't finish the noodles soup (the chef was putting the bean spourts together into the soup; hichic :(

Next, we drove the hotel we booked by bidding on priceline.com. Amazingly, we had a room in a 4 stars hotel named Atlantica which is located in downtown Halifax. When we bid, we didn't think we could stay in a fancy hotel for that price (only $80 per night after taxes). We were the only young couple stayed in that fancy 4 stars hotel (I bet the other people had to pay a lot more than us, that's why we only met some middle aged and old people who are usually thought to be rich, or some teenagers going with their parents). Thanks to priceline.com, cheers :)

I knew that we should have another lobster dinner as long as we were still in Halifax. But I had been missed rice for 2 days already, then we went to Thai restaurant for dinner.
We stopped by Public Garden on the way. The garden were about to be closed in 15 minutes. That short walk made us feel relaxed and enjoyed looking at the beautiful flowers and admired the tree-planters for their talents by mixed the flowers in the beautiful way.

The Thai restaurant is hardly found as it doesn't have any flashing sign outside the restaurant. The GPS helped us to find it. The interior decoration brought us a warmful welcome. And we totally agreed that this restaurant is highly recommended on-line as we had a very delicious dinner.

After a good dinner, we went back to hotel and had a very good sleep. Cheers ;)
