After a bad night in the horrible motel, we left Federicton early and drove to Moncton city,NB.
We came by one of the top 10 must-see scenario of Canada: the Hopewell rock. We were lucky to get there early enough to walk on the rock as this is a low tide time. It was so amazing that after an hour, we recognized that we were walking below the water as the tides rose very rapidly.
I couldn't find any word to describe this beautiful place, the following pictures would bring the images of the place in the low tide time.
On the way back to Nova Scotia, we stopped by one side of the river to take few pictures of sky line downtown Moncton city.
And finally, we arrived to Halifax which is our aimed destination of the honeymoon. And lucky us, we got the harbor view room with a nice balcony to look out. Hubby did enjoy much by getting up early on the next day and practised Taichi (I guess by the time hubby is retired, he's gonna contribute his time for Taichi for sure ;)
As we heard that Lobster is very famous in Halifax, then we went to one seafood restaurant located in downtown after checking some on-line reviews. Hubby called to check out the hours and we had to rush as they closed at 9:30. Since we got there, we found out that they closed the door at 9:30PM, but we still could stay there as long as we wanted (it was funny that hubby kept saying that we had to finish the dinner by 9:30PM also, otherwise we would be locked in the restaurant :)
As this is a fancy restaurant, I dressed up a bit and took some pictures of the restaurant also. Smile~.
I also posted some pictures of what we ate on that night: a huge lobster 1.5lb which I finished it by myself; and hubby finished the 10 oz steak.
As we ate too much, we decided to walk around the harbor a bit. It was a late night already, hence we couldn't see the harbor and people; but we planned to be back tomorrow afternoon to join in the one-hour harbor tour.
On the way back to the hotel, we came by Nova Scotia casino. This casino is small but is well-organized. It is divided into many sections: pennies section, nickel-section, dime-section, and loonie-section. It also has some playing table. We played some Black Jack. We did loose some and win some. It was an enjoyable night.
Overall, we love Halifax and for sure we'll be back in one day.
